The solution is an ROV simulator system, equipped with a master arm controller, providing operators with highly realistic control, handling, and intervention capabilities.
The ROV simulator provides DeepTech with a safe and cost-effective way to train and ROV pilots for offshore operations prior to the real deployments. By replicating real subsea conditions and tasks in a virtual environment, using the PaleBlue simulator leads to lower training costs and improves efficiency.
Built on PaleBlue’s proven high-fidelity ROV simulation platform, the system delivers realistic operational scenarios. The simulator is designed to enhance operator competence, procedural understanding, and operational readiness for complex real-world conditions. The simulator has been deployed at Free Zone Nasr City, Cairo, Egypt, where it will play a key role in training DeepTech Oil Services personnel for demanding offshore missions.
Felix Horn, CEO at PaleBlue, says: “We are glad to work with the professional team at DeepTech Oil Services. This ROV simulator delivery demonstrates the value of digital training for our clients in oil & gas and marine verticals.”
Competency Hub Manager of DeepTech, Andrew Farre, said:
“After a long search for ROV simulation platforms worldwide, we identified PaleBlue as a solution aligned with DeepTech’s objective of strengthening our WROV (work-class ROV) pilot tech competency development pathway.”
“Today, the simulator plays an important role in helping us deliver a solid foundational level of training and development of ROV crew offshore to acquire and accommodate different flying and vehicle management skills.”
“During the initial setup phase, PaleBlue provided the technical support required to commission the system and familiarize our instructors. Training covered scenarios, controllers and ancillary equipment, such as T4 Master Controller, enabling us to confidently integrate the simulator into our Competency Hub.”
Andrew continued:
“DeepTech is looking to further develop this collaboration by introducing customized equipment and tailored scenarios to support our crew development roadmap and continue enhancing the learning journey of our ROV pilots.”
