FET Supplies ROV for River Bed and Offshore Wind Surveys in the United States

Forum Energy Technologies’ (FET) Subsea Product Line, a global leader in subsea robotics, has signed a contract for the sale of an electric Sub Atlantic Super Mohawk II remotely operated vehicle (ROV) and Dynacon Launch and Recovery (LARS) system to a North American subsea organization. The ROV will be used for shallow water operations in the Northeastern United States, marking the company’s first sale for river bed assessments alongside offshore wind farm surveying.

Klein Marine System’s 5900 High-Speed Side-Scan Sonar To KIOST For Seafloor Topography Surveys

Klein Marine Systems, is pleased to announce that the Korea Institute of Ocean Science & Technology (KIOST), in their ongoing quest to advance marine science and technology, has accepted delivery of the Klein Marine System’s 5900 ultra-high-resolution sonar. KIOST plans to use the high-speed side-scan for its seafloor topography surveys. The acceptance trials were carried off the coast of Busan, So. Korea.

Terna Tests Terradepth AUVs for Marine Geophysical Surveys

The first test was conducted off the coast near the port of Casamicciola Terme, on the island of Ischia (Naples, Italy). During geophysical surveying of the seabed, Terna’s technicians were able to test the performance of the “Gavia” drone, the AUV from Terradepth employed for the purpose, equipped with advanced sensors, including Echo Sounder (MBES), Side Scan Sonar and HD Camera.
