Victor Vescovo and Passengers Accomplish Additional Dives to Challenger Deep

In a historic series of dives this month, explorer Victor Vescovo escorted four passengers to the bottom of the Mariana Trench at Challenger Deep. Over the course of 11 days, Vescovo and his guests visited all three pools of Challenger Deep in Triton Submarines’ deep-submergence vehicle (DSV) Limiting Factor, uncovering new knowledge, collecting samples, setting records and expanding the capabilities of mankind even further.

OTAQ, the marine technology products and solutions group for the global aquaculture and offshore oil and gas industries, is pleased to announce that it has elected to convert all of its 6% Convertible Loan Notes (CLNs) issued by Minnowtech LLP into ordinary shares in Minnowtech. In addition to converting the CLNs, OTAQ has also agreed to a further equity investment of $150,000 in Minnowtech. Following conversion of the CLNs and the Equity Investment, OTAQ will hold a beneficial interest in approximately 15.2% of Minnowtech’s issued ordinary share capital.

Forum Energy Technologies today announced that its light work-class remotely operated vehicle (ROV), Comanche 38, has successfully completed sea trials with Amundsen Science (Université Laval, Canada). The ROV was sold to the scientific research organisation last year and will be supporting exploration of Artic and Sub-Arctic seafloor ecosystems. The vehicle was installed onboard the Canadian research icebreaker vessel, CCGS Amundsen.
