Ocean services provider DeepOcean has been awarded a contract by Equinor to provide various subsea construction and installation activities as part of the Snorre Export and Import Gas Project (SNEIG) for offshore execution in 2026.

The initiative is funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR) on behalf of the French government, as part of France 2030. Ifremer serves as the project lead, in partnership with the CNRS and Shom. A scientific user group will be closely involved in defining the sensors to be developed or integrated, ensuring that the new system meets the evolving needs of ocean research.

Ocean services provider DeepOcean has been awarded a SIMOPRO – simultaneous marine operation and production – installation contract by Equinor on the Norwegian continental shelf.

Deep Ocean Search (DOS), a leading deep-sea exploration company, has selected Exail to provide the navigation and acoustic positioning capabilities required for its upcoming missions. As part of this collaboration, DOS will deploy Exail’s Rovins 9-DVL navigation system and Gaps M7 acoustic positioning system, enabling operations at depths of up to 6,000 meters.

In conjunction with the launch of its brand-new Mariner XL ROV, Deep Ocean Search (DOS) entered in a MoU with the Deep Sea Vision (DSV). DSV is a deep-water survey company using Autonomous Underwater vehicles (AUV) such as Kongsberg Hugin 6000 able to dive at 6,000msw depth with a long track record in the deep ocean space.

Agilica BV, a spin-out from the Royal Military Academy of Belgium, has successfully completed a European Space Agency (ESA)-funded feasibility study to develop a breakthrough Alternative PNT (Positioning, Navigation, Timing) system enabling precision drone navigation and landing in environments where GNSS signals are degraded or unavailable. This achievement represents a critical step on the commercialisation roadmap of Agilica’s core product — the AGL system — by adding built-in compatibility with GNSS and Galileo High Accuracy Service (HAS) to their Ultra-Wideband (UWB) positioning solution for drones in the maritime, logistics, and urban air mobility sectors.

Fugro has been awarded a contract to run a comprehensive site characterisation programme for an Eni operated development of a deepwater gas project in the Eastern Mediterranean. Ocean services provider DeepOcean announces a comprehensive expansion of its fleet of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) by adding eight new ROVs to its already extensive fleet of nearly 60 units, marking a significant step forward in the adoption of modern electric ROV technology.

Kystdesign has signed a historic agreement with DeepOcean for the delivery of new E-ROV technology. The agreement is driven by growing market demand for fully electric ROV on future IMR contracts. DeepOcean has signed an agreement with Kystdesign for the delivery of 2x ZEEROV IMR versions and 1x ZOROV observation ROV, with an option for an additional 6x ZEEROV IMR and 3x ZOROV. Additionally, the agreement includes options for the further development of 4x specialized electric ROVs for heavier construction work and operations in areas with strong ocean currents. The first ROVs are scheduled for delivery in January 2027. The contract marks a significant breakthrough in modern E-ROV technology and will contribute to more sustainable offshore operations in the future.

With Mariner XL, Deep Ocean Search (in collaboration with Marine Operations London LTD) is offering for hire a 6000msw capable WROV which can be mobilized quickly and easily for rapid deployment anywhere in the world: a launch & recovery system, an ultra-long range inertial and acoustic positioning system, a pilot station and a store space, all in only 4 x 20’ containers. Deployment on board requires no major structural modifications of the support vessel and no calibration. The Argus Mariner XL is a light work-class ROV designed ultra-deep operations, inspection, sampling, object recovery, imaging and data acquisition.
