Aker Solutions is thrilled to announce the first commercial campaign for the SWIFT™ remotely operated tubing hanger (TH) tool. Equinor’s first, umbilical-less TH installation is a momentous development, as the contract scope for the SWIFT™’s deployment involves 18 tubing hanger installations on the Johan Castberg field in the Barents Sea.

The first contract - in partnership with Aker Solutions do Brasil - has been awarded by Total Energies, for the LAPA Southwest (LAPA SW) Development Project, a deepwater oil field in the Santos Basin in the South Atlantic, 270 kilometres off the coast of São Paulo, in Brazil.

Schlumberger, Aker Solutions and Subsea 7 today announced an agreement to form a joint venture to deliver a step change in subsea production economics by helping customers unlock reserves, reduce time to first oil and lower development costs while simultaneously delivering on their decarbonization objectives.

Aker BP and Aker Solutions have signed a long-term agreement with owner and real estate developer Hinna Park Utvikling (HPU) for modern and energy-efficient office buildings in Stavanger from 2024/2025.

Subsea 7 today announced the award of a sizeable1 contract by Aker BP for the Hanz field development located in the North Sea. The project involves a subsea tie-back of approximately 15 kilometres to the Ivar Aasen platform. The contract scope includes engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) of the gas lift and production pipelines, and associated subsea infrastructure, using vessels from Subsea 7’s fleet. The production pipeline is a pipe-in-pipe design.

Aker Solutions today delivers the 5000-ton additional module for the Johan Sverdrup riser platform. The module is a part of the field’s second development phase and is the latest in a series of large deliveries from Aker Solutions to the Johan Sverdrup field development.

The plan for development and operation (PDO) of the Breidablikk field in the North Sea has been approved by Norwegian authorities. Field investments are approximately NOK 18.6 billion. Production from the field is scheduled to start in the first half of 2024.

Today Aker Solutions delivers yet another steel substructure for the largest industry project ever in Norway, the Johan Sverdrup field. Previously, the company has delivered three platform jackets for phase 1. With this jacket for phase 2 of the project, four out of a total of five jackets have been built and delivered from Aker Solutions’ yard in Verdal, Norway. All platform substructures have been delivered on time, quality and budget. A key focus during the work has also been to improve execution models and to adapt for new types of jobs. As a result, future platform jackets for oil and gas and for renewable energy production can be delivered at a lower cost and with increased competitiveness.

The Hywind Tampen project is now moving from Stord to the deep-water site at Dommersnes where the concrete slipforming of the spar-substructures will be completed. This is the first concrete slipforming for an offshore project on the Norwegian continental shelf since the Troll A platform was delivered in 1995.

The first part of the construction of the Hywind Tampen concrete foundations was finalized this week at Aker Solutions’ yard in Stord, Norway. The 11 substructures are currently being towed to Vindafjord where the rest of the slip-forming and mechanical outfitting will be completed.

Equinor has chosen Heerema Marine Contractors Nederland SE for removal, dismantling and recycling of the topsides and jackets of the Heimdal riser platform, Heimdal main platform and Veslefrikk A platform in the North Sea.

Aker Solutions and Cognite have been awarded a USD 2 million grant from the California Energy Commission (CEC) for a project called NextWind Real Time Condition Monitoring.

Aker Solutions has entered a master agreement to provide umbilicals for Chevron-operated oil and gas fields in the US Gulf of Mexico. The company also secured the first work order under the new master agreement, to provide 24 kilometers (15 miles) of umbilicals for Chevron’s Anchor project.

Aker Solutions has been awarded a contract from Aker BP to deliver the subsea production system for the second phase of the Ærfugl development offshore Norway.
