MMF70 to Spotlight Next-Gen Marine & Space Tech

The Marine Measurement Forum (MMF) returns in January 2026, with the 70th edition of MMF bringing sea and space together like never before. Hosted by Ocean Business, the MMF70 programme is now live, showcasing a powerful mix of marine and space-enabled innovation that is helping to shape the future of measurement and environmental monitoring.

Since 1983, the not-for-profit MMF continues to provide a non-profit forum for the informal exchange of ideas, expertise and cutting-edge developments across the entire marine measurement community.

This year’s agenda brings together a compelling range of sessions under themes that reflect the convergence of ocean and orbital observation:

* Space-enabled maritime intelligence exploring how satellite and space-based technologies are transforming maritime data acquisition and analysis.
* Novel methods in marine science and surveillance ground-breaking approaches to understanding and monitoring our oceans.
* Next-generation autonomous platforms spotlighting advances in autonomous vehicles, robotics and remote sensing in marine environments.

Attendees will hear from leading voices and organisations across the marine and space-enabled sectors, including, MSE International, National Oceanography Centre, European Space Agency (ESA), Fugro, Hydro Survey, RS Aqua, and many more.

In addition to the presentations, the day will also include opportunities to connect with peers and industry leaders, interactive Q&A sessions, plus dedicated time for informal discussion.

MMF70, with the theme, where sea meets space, and innovation meets collaboration, will be held on Wednesday 28 January 2026 at the Winchester Science Centre & Planetarium, Winchester, UK, selected for its unique blend of science, space and immersive learning.
