Shearwater to Embark on Significant New Angolan OBN Survey for TotalEnergies

The deepwater OBN survey will be conducted by the dual ROV equipped SW Tasman, the fit for purpose seismic node laying vessel which was converted in 2023, and SW Gallien as source vessel. The survey will commence in January 2025, over a two and a half-month duration. Shearwater will utilise its compact high-endurance Pearl node for the project.

Subsea7 announced today the award of a sizeable 1 contract for a subsea tieback development in the US Gulf of Mexico. Subsea7 will be responsible for transporting and installing the flowline, umbilical, and associated subsea components for the tieback. Project management and engineering work will begin immediately at Subsea7’s office in Houston, Texas, and offshore activity is expected to start in 2025.
