The AOC EW Europe conference will be led on the morning of 14th May with a keynote address from Brigadier General Fredrik Bergman, Head of the Test & Evaluation Division, Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) – Sweden. This session will be followed by an opening address on ‘New Threats and Future EW Systems’ from Johan Falk, Head of Department - Radio EW Systems, Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI).

“With all three events co-located under one roof in Stockholm this year, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from some of the top commentators currently operating in their respective fields,” Tracy Bebbington, Event Director, Clarion Defence & Security, said. “We have had excellent engagement from the Swedish armed forces across all three events, which will provide valuable insight into the operational and technological experiences of the Swedish defence forces in the wider European defence and security landscape.”

“This years’ keynote speakers will provide an insider view of both the Swedish outlook and a truly international perspective on training and simulation, undersea technology and EW requirements as we look toward the coming decade,” Simon Williams, Chairman, Clarion Defence & Security, said. “But they won’t be considered in isolation – as reflected across the wider conference themes, the critical component of these events is the collaborative element, the ability to connect and share ideas and reach conclusions that have application across companies, governments and national borders.

“I look forward to welcoming delegates to ITEC, UDT and EW Europe 2019 and expect the level of engagement to be first class across all three events.”
