Habitat-Saving Algorithm Helped by Seaeye Falcon

Scientists at the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) have acquired a second Saab Seaeye Falcon underwater robot. The Seaeye Falcon is used to conduct surveys of marine fish and invertebrates in Washington’s Puget Sound, where some rockfish populations were fished to levels that threatened extinction.

Oceaneering and Kontiki Winds Sign Agreement to Electrify Offshore Assets

Today, Oceaneering International, Inc. announces that its Norwegian subsidiary, Oceaneering AS, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kontiki Winds AS (a Havfram AS company) to jointly pursue the application of floating offshore wind for remote microgrid renewable power generation to electrify offshore assets such as oil and gas production as well as other small scale power generation opportunities among island states currently producing electricity by fossil fuel.

Partnership Brings Subsea Robotics Training and ROV Simulator to Guyana for First Time

World-class training and project simulation have now been launched in Guyana, for the first time, to address the increase in demand for qualified personnel. Through a partnership between Caribbean Subsea Specialist Inc. (CSSI) and 3t EnerMech (ODITC), the Schilling Heavy Duty remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) simulator is now available at the ODITC 3t EnerMech Training Centre of Excellence in Lusignan.
