Marine Operations DynOps utilises 4Subsea’s 4Insight® data sharing platform to support decision-making based on analytics and reduces operational inefficiencies. It enables ship operators to use vessel sensors, motion sensors and GPS data in conjunction with weather forecasts to accurately predict how a ship will react to the environment up to a week in advance.

Kraken Robotics announces a $9.5 million contract to supply high-resolution seabed mapping sonar equipment to a navy in Asia-Pacific. The customer cannot be named at this time. Under the scope of the contract, Kraken will deliver its KATFISH™ high-speed minehunting solution. The contract also includes a variety of support and sustainment options, including training, spares and operational support.

Swiss-based autonomous underwater robotics company, Hydromea, has achieved a groundbreaking validation for its underwater optical modems, LUMA X-UV, in Germany's Nautilus lab. With a remarkable certification at 1200 bar of pressure, equivalent to depth of 12,000 meters in the ocean, Hydromea's LUMA X-UV modems have surpassed previous limits.

Organizers of the International WorkBoat Show and the Underwater Intervention Conference and Exhibition (UI) announced that the two events would be co-located in New Orleans in 2023. The International WorkBoat Show is the largest business-to-business commercial marine expo in the United States. UI is the premier event for the entire underwater industry. “We see a tremendous upside for both our attendees and exhibitors with this co-location and we could not be more thrilled about expanding this new partnership with these amazing industry stakeholders,” said Bob Callahan, group vice president and event director of the International WorkBoat Show.
