Nauticus Robotics Completes Aquanaut Mark 2 Qualification and Begins Commercial Operations

Nauticus Robotics, a leading innovator in autonomous subsea robotics and software, is pleased to announce completion of qualification testing of its flagship underwater vehicle, Aquanaut Mark 2. The Aquanaut used for testing, Vehicle 2, is now performing commercial inspection work at a production field in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM). This transition from qualification to commercial operations marks a major milestone for the company.

Exail Selected by French Defense Procurement Agency to Develop the French Navy's Ultra-deepwater AUV

The French defense procurement agency (DGA) is to provide the French Navy with its first sovereign ultradeep-sea exploration and surveillance capability and has chosen Exail, a world leader in robotics, to supply a new AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) capable of operating at depths of up to 6,000 meters.

Oceaneering International, Inc. announces today that its Subsea Robotics and Aerospace and Defense Technologies segments were awarded a multi-million dollar contract by the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) of the U.S. Department of Defense to build a Freedom™ Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) and establish an Onshore Remote Operations Center (OROC) for the U.S. Navy.

Greensea IQ Awarded $1.9 Million NAVSEA Contract for Coupled ROV and Manipulator Control

Greensea IQ announces the awarding of a Phase II contract from the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) as part of SBIR Topic #N211-066. The contract, including options, is valued at $1.9 million and spans up to three years if all options are exercised.

UK Future Marine Infrastructure in Focus at MATS

The future direction of the UK’s marine research infrastructure and how to succeed in taking on solo global ocean challenges are on the keynote billboard for this year’s tenth Marine Autonomy and Technology Showcase (MATS), organiser the National Oceanography Centre (NOC) has announced. The event will run from November 5-7, at NOC’s dockside facilities in Southampton, with the NOC operated research vessel RRS James Cook due to be alongside.
